Orchids and Onions: Sunday, March 3, 2019

March 4, 2019

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to John, the pharmacist at Kmart, for doing his best for his customers while the company gives him little or no staff to help with his important job. Thanks John!

Onions to the house that has three cars, four pickups, a tow truck, a toy box trailer, and a car hauler trailer all parked in front of the house and in the street. Some of the vehicles haven’t moved for months. This is unacceptable in a nice neighborhood, where is code enforcement? Where is the police?

Orchids to Linda and Susan, LHC Walgreens, for again supporting Helping Hands complete 36 food baskets for less fortunate citizens. Without their support we would not be as successful completing these baskets as we have been. Thank you so much.

Onions to the onion about the ‘noise’ created by the Royal Canadian Air Force planes. As one of our staunchest military allies the ‘noise’ to me has the distinct ring of freedom. Welcome back RCAF.

Orchids for George at Starbucks his humor and excellent service make the Starbucks experience very pleasant.

Onions to me for using the wrong date. My husband Doug and I moved here to LHC the month of April 2005. I have enjoyed many wonderful years here since his passing last year. Things have changed and I am no longer in LHC. I am now back in California, life must go on and things change. I will miss my old life.

Orchids to Donna in the Smith’s Deli for providing terrific customer service and understanding of what a costumer request. My wife was very pleased.

Onions to the mom rolling her eyes because I said no to buying cookies. It’s OK to say no mom, and I don’t have to explain myself.
