Coal City man dies of apparent heroin overdose
COAL CITY — James Lee, of Coal City, died of an apparent heroin overdose on Monday, according to Grundy County Coroner John W. Callahan.
The 26-year-old Lee died early Monday morning in a home in Coal City. There was evidence at the scene that supports the use of heroin, according to a release.
A woman from Wilmington was in the home and had overdosed but EMS personnel were able to administer drugs that revived her. She was taken to Morris Hospital for treatment.
She confirmed the use of heroin, according to the release.
An autopsy was performed Monday, with toxicology results pending.
