BOSTON (AP) — A man was killed in Boston in a hit-and-run and two other pedestrians were seriously injured after being struck in Somerville.
The Boston Globe reports a man in his 40s was hit by a driver near American Legion Highway and Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday. A Boston police spokesman says it appears the driver did not stop. The man’s name wasn’t immediately released.
State police also reported a 29-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were hit in separate incidents on Route 28 Wednesday evening. Police didn’t immediately identity either one. Both were taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The woman was said to have life-threatening injuries. The man had serious injuries.
No charges had been filed as of Wednesday evening. Authorities said bad weather was a factor.
