Manhattan 73, St. Peter’s 48

NEW YORK (AP) _ Jamal Marshall and reserve Carey Wilson, who keyed a first-half pullaway, scored 12 points each to lead Manhattan past St. Peter’s 73-48 Saturday.

Charles Dubra added 10 points for the Jaspers (19-6, 11-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). The 19 victories are the third most in school history and the most since going 20-6 in 1952-53.

Harun Ramey scored 16 points and Novich Hunter had 12 for St. Peter’s (6-18, 2-11).

The Jaspers broke open a close game midway through the first half with a 16-2 scoring run capped by Marshall’s 3-point play that made it 30-14.

The Peacocks were held without a field goal for the final 8:18 of the first half and trailed 37-16 at halftime. The Peacocks never got closer than 17 and trailed by as much as 28.

Chuck Veteran, St. Peter’s leading scorer, was held to four points.
