WASHINGTON (AP) — D.C. United general manager Dave Kasper has agreed to a multiyear contract extension.

The MLS team says Wednesday that Kasper will add the title of vice president of soccer operations.

Kasper has worked for D.C. United for 13 years.

D.C. United opened this season Saturday by beating the Montreal Impact 1-0. Last season, D.C. United won the Eastern Conference regular-season title.
