Missing Los Angeles-Area Girl Found in Wyoming
LOS ANGELES (AP) _ A 15-year-old girl whose picture appeared on milk cartons after she was reported missing was found Friday in Wyoming, more than five months since she apparently ran away from home near Los Angeles.
Denise Lucille Cramer, who was 14 when she disappeared Nov. 23, 1984, from her Torrance home, was discovered by police in Casper, Wyo., Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Joe Garza said.
The details of where she was staying or how she was found were not immediately available.
Deputy Dave Tellez said the girl’s picture also was on a sheriff’s bulletin, which was seen by a friend of the girl.
The friend, Tellez said, ″had been receiving correspondence from her but didn’t know she was listed as missing.″
Miss Cramer was detained by Casper authorities until her mother, Dona Wilkerson, and stepfather arrive there Saturday, Garza said.
