NH man arrested following bank visit in Mass.
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire man recently featured as the U.S. Marshals’ “Fugitive of the Week” has been arrested in Massachusetts.
The marshals said 38-year-old David Macrae of Salem was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, including a parole violation stemming from larceny convictions and an escape warrant issued by the Salem Police Department. He had been missing since late December.
Police in Methuen, Mass., arrested Macrae on Thursday after a bank teller became suspicious about a check he submitted to be cashed. They became aware of the “Fugitive of the Week” feature, which was featured in various media outlets on Feb. 21.
Macrae is expected to be held pending his initial court appearance and eventual transfer back to New Hampshire.
