Undated (AP) _ Alcorn State’s Steve McNair set an NCAA Division I-AA record with 647 yards of total offense in the Braves’ 54-28 win over Tennessee-Chattanooga. McNair threw for 491 yards and eight touchdowns and ran for 156 yards. Jamie Martin of Weber State had the mark with 643 yards against Idaho State in 1991.
Danny Kanell of No. 4 Florida State was 28-for-44 for 417 yards and a touchdown as the Seminoles beat Maryland 52-20.
