Police: 1 dead, 2 wounded in Henderson gas station shooting
HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — One person is dead, two are hospitalized and a 22-year-old convenience store employee is in custody after a shooting at a gas station near a busy crossroads in suburban Henderson, police said Friday.
Rafael Valdez was arrested shortly after the shooting a little before 10 a.m. and was being held on murder and other charges, Henderson police Officer Rodrigo Pena said.
Valdez is a store employee and at least one of the victims also works there, Pena said. The police spokesman said he didn’t know what led to the shooting.
The identities of the victims weren’t immediately made public.
