Nashoba Tech Earns TAMY for Costumes, Hair and Makeup
WESTFORD -- Nashoba Valley Technical High School struck gold again at the recent TAMY Award ceremony at Mount Wachusett Community College’s Theatre at the Mount.
Nashoba Tech’s Drama Club won the TAMY Award for Best Costumes, Hair & Make-up in the Small School Division for its production of “The Little Mermaid.”
Ashley Conrad of Pepperell, a Class of 2018 graduate whose senior project was performing the makeup design for the show, accepted the award for Nashoba Tech at the ceremony in Gardner.
Other students who were part of the winning crew are Rachel Cieslik (2018 graduate, Pepperell), Emily Hogan (junior, Dracut), Caitlin McMaster (junior, Chelmsford), Shelby O’Rourke (2018 graduate, Chelmsford), Ashley Whiting (junior, Chelmsford) and Katherine Wittala (2018 graduate, Billerica).
Emily Smith, a TV & Media Production/Theatre Arts instructor at Nashoba Tech, is the adviser for the Drama Club.
Nashoba Tech last won a major TAMY Award in 2014, when Marc Macedo of Chelmsford won Best Actor for “Shrek, the Musical.”
