No. 9: AAUP censures UNL

The American Association of University Professors in June added the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to its list of administrations censured for violating academic freedom. Delegates to the national faculty group unanimously agreed with a report stating UNL violated the academic freedom of English department lecturer and Ph.D. student Courtney Lawton when it removed her from the classroom in an effort to end an ongoing backlash against the university.
