Police: Man arrested in Phoenix in fatal shooting in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Tucson police say a 37-year-old man sought in the killing of another man and the wounding of the suspect’s ex-girlfriend has been arrested in Phoenix.

Police say the U.S. Marshals Service located 37-year-old Daniel Miller Friday and that Miller injured himself while trying to escape but was taken into custody.

According to police, Miller was hospitalized and once released will be jailed on a felony arrest warrant alleging first-degree murder and domestic violence attempted murder.

Police say the shooting left 54-year-old Michael Grove dead and Miller’s ex-girlfriend critically wounded. Her identity was not released.

According to police, Grove was visiting the woman at her home when Miller arrived and that Miller shot both victims before driving off in a dark-colored pickup.

The victims were found lying on a street.
