LaVonne Carolyn Boysen -- Dodge Center

LaVonne Carolyn Boysen, 74, of Dodge Center, passed away on Sept. 26, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus in Rochester.

LaVonne was born on Jan. 23, 1944, to Everett and Cleo (Classon) Louks in Dodge Center. She graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1962. LaVonne was united in marriage to Kenneth Boysen on May 28, 1966, in Dodge Center. She dedicated her life to her children and family. She was a steady source of patience, encouragement and love.

While her primary focus was on her family and being a wife and mother, she also held various positions outside the home, most recently at Hardware Hank in Dodge Center and Weber and Judd Drug Store in Kasson.

LaVonne always enjoyed a good book, was an avid collector, and a dedicated football fan. She loved to play games, had a strong affinity for movies and pop culture, and always treasured time spent with family and friends.

LaVonne is survived by her children, Jeffrey Boysen, Dodge Center, Lori (Eric) Lofthus, Dodge Center, Jamie (Stacy) Boysen, Pine Island, Chad (Christy) Boysen, Woodbury; two grandchildren, Dana (Justin) Davis and Alyssa Lofthus; two stepgrandchildren, Coltan and Luke Runge; and three great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Maliyah and Abrielle. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Darrell.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the United Methodist Church, 20 First St. NE, Dodge Center, with the Rev. Loren Olson officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service Tuesday at the church.

Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center is assisting in arrangements.
