Police: 35-year-old female dies after using heroin
On Friday, Nov. 30 at around 430 p.m. Ludington Police, Ludington Fire and Life EMS were dispatched to the 600 block. of North James Street for the report of an unresponsive 35-year-old female, according to a release from Ludington Police Chief Mark Barnett.
Barnett said investigating officers learned that the female victim had used heroin earlier in the day and that one of the subjects in the house had already administered two shots of Naloxone in an attempt to revive the victim.
Further rescue efforts were made by first responders, but the victim was unable to be revived.
Barnett said further investigation regarding the incident and source of the heroin involved will be conducted by Ludington Police Department and SSCENT.
