Man charged in deadly shooting at convenience store in Cleveland
CLEVELAND, Ohio – A Euclid man is charged in connection with a fatal shooting during an argument at a convenience store in Cleveland’s Euclid-Green neighborhood.
Tymaine Jackson, 19, is charged with aggravated murder in the Aug. 11 fatal shooting of Sir Rell Sizemore, 28.
Jackson was arrested Wednesday and is being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail on $1 million bond after his first court appearance on Thursday.
The shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. outside the Convenient Food Mart store on Euclid Avenue and East 182nd Street.
Jackson and Sizemore were talking in the store parking lot and began arguing, police said. Sizemore threw a punch at Jackson, who pulled out a gun and fired several shots, according to police.
Sizemore was shot multiple times in the abdomen, buttocks and left foot, according to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner. He was taken to University Hospitals, where he died.
Jackson has no criminal convictions as an adult but is currently facing charges in connection with a July 30 felonious assault in University Circle.
The warrant says Jackson was accused of inflicting “serious harm to another person” but lists no other information. University Circle police have not released any information on that incident despite multiple requests.
