LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Oklahoma quarterback Jason White was knocked out of Saturday's game against Nebraska with a knee injury early in the second quarter.

White, a sophomore making just his second start, came down awkwardly on his left knee and collapsed on the Oklahoma sideline after throwing a 22-yard completion to Quentin Griffin with 11:20 left in the second quarter.

White returned to the game with 9:30 left in the third after backup Nate Hybl banged his head hard on the artificial turf when he was hit by end Chris Kelsay after throwing a pass. White threw an incompletion as Hybl sat out two plays to clear his head and returned.

Hybl, who started Oklahoma's first six games, came in and completed an eight-play, 77-yard drive with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Trent Smith to put the Sooners up 7-0 with 10:27 left in the second.

White was 5-of-13 for 50 yards with an interception on his first throw.
