Creighton men’s basketball holds off East Tennessee State

Ty-Shon Alexander scored a career-high 20 points and Creighton closed on a 24-6 run to rally past East Tennessee State 75-69 yesterday.

Alexander made a long three-pointer with the shot clock winding down for a 69-65 lead, and the Buccaneers turned it over with 40 seconds left and elected not to foul. Martin Krampelj had a baseline dunk at the end of the shot clock to seal it for the 2-0 Bluejays. Damien Jefferson added 14 points while Mitch Ballock pumped in ten.
