NORFOLK — Services for Edward D. “Eddie’ Myrick, 55, Stanton, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Stonacek Funeral Chapel in Norfolk. The Rev. Ron Gunsolley will officiate.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
He died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at Maskenthine Lake near Stanton.
Born Oct. 3, 1963, at San Manuel, Ariz., he was the son of George and Jeanette (Houlton) Myrick. He attended Vanoss High School in Oklahoma and later received his G.E.D.
He married Karen Simon on June 15, 1985, in San Bernardino, Calif. Eddie and Karen moved to Norfolk in 1995 for a short time. Eddie began working at Hradec Diesel in Norfolk (which later become RDO Truck Center). The family then moved to Stanton in 1996, and Eddie was still currently working at RDO Truck Center as a service manager.
Eddie was proud to be a volunteer firefighter for Stanton City Fire Station.
Eddie’s hobbies included hunting, riding dirt bikes, spending time with family, and he especially loved being with his grandchildren. Eddie also enjoyed taking dirt bike trips down south with family and friends.
Survivors include his spouse, Karen Myrick of Stanton; daughter Ericka Myrick of Stanton; son Lenny (Lisa) Arkinstal of California; daughter-in-law Melissia Myrick of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Martin, Aria, Auggie and Tatsi; mother Jeanette Myrick of Stanton; father George Myrick of Oklahoma; and siblings Debbie (Mike) Thrasher of Norfolk and Dianna Miller of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Myrick
Casketbearers will be Lenny Arkinstal, Seth Eggerling, Mike Thrasher, Allen Walker, Josh Hart and Kyle Joachimsen. Honorary casketbearers will be Cary Marcoot, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
