Study: Broomfield Ranks 2nd in State in Purchasing Power

Broomfield County consumers wield the second most purchasing power in Colorado, according a recently released SmartAsset study .

The study ranked the state’s counties by comparing cost of living and median income to determine a figure SmartAsset calls the Purchasing Power Index.

The purpose of the index is to measure”where in Colorado people can get the most out of their money,” according to the study.

Broomfield County’s Purchasing Power Index was 80.13, according to the study. The only county that ranked higher was Elbert County, which had a Purchasing Power Index 83.38.
