New Caney ISD teacher arrested for possession of child pornography in Kingwood
New Caney ISD substitute teacher Kenneth Morphus was arrested on Thursday for possession of child pornography in Kingwood.
Deputies from Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted an investigation into the online trafficking of child pornography.
During the investigation they found a residence on the 2000 block of Lake Creek Drive in Kingwood was the source of downloaded child pornographic files.

Investigators obtained a warrant for the residence and searched it early Thursday morning. During the search, Morphus confessed that he had been seeking and obtaining child pornography online.
A review of Morphus’s laptop found a cache of child pornography.

“As a result of the child pornography recovered from his computer, Kenneth Morphus was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with three counts of Possession of Child Pornography. His bond has been set at $10,000 on each count,” Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said.
