UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) _ The New York Islanders have signed three more free agents _ centers Jesse Belanger and Robert Petrovicky, and left wing Jeff Toms.

Terms of the deals were not released.

Belanger, 31, had three goals and six assists in 16 games for the Canadiens last season. Belanger has also played for Florida, Vancouver and Edmonton.

Petrovicky, 26, had seven goals and 10 assists in 43 games with Tampa Bay last season. He started his career with Hartford in 1992, and has also played for St. Louis and Dallas.

Toms, 26, had one goal and three assists in 20 games for the Capitals last season.

``These are three skilled forwards that have excelled at the minor league level and have been effective when called up to the NHL,'' Islanders general manager Mike Milbury said.

``These are the kind of quality depth players we haven't been able to sign in the past.''
