Shooting on Cleveland’s East Side sends 2 to hospital

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two males were flown to MetroHealth Medical Center after they were wounded Thursday night in a shooting near the Euclid border.

Police spokesman Det. Reginald Lanton says the two unidentified victims were shot on the 19800 block of Cherokee Avenue, just west of East 200th Street.

Lanton says the two men were first taken by a private vehicle to Cleveland Clinic-Euclid Hospital before being flown by helicopter to MetroHealth. Their conditions are unknown.

No details were released on a possible motive or if there are suspects.
