RAPE TRIAL-GUILTY PLEA

KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii — A 19-year-old Big Island man accused of holding a woman against her will and beating and raping her has pleaded guilty to the charges two days into his trial. SENT: 300 words.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SENTENCE

WAILUKU, Hawaii — A Maui man who prosecutors said physically and emotionally tortured his girlfriend has been sentenced to 10 years in prison. SENT: 350 words.
