OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) _ Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner War Emblem will race in the Haskell Invitational at Monmouth Park, trainer Bob Baffert announced Saturday.

The decision to run in the Aug. 5 race comes just days after Baffert told track officials the 3-year-old colt probably would not run in the $1 million race following the death of his owner, Saudi Prince Ahmed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.

Prince Ahmed died of a heart attack Monday at age 43.

``I just received the final go-ahead from the royal family,'' Baffert said in a statement. ``War Emblem will be shipped to Monmouth Park on Thursday.''

War Emblem is listed to carry a high weight of 124 pounds for the Haskell.

Baffert also trained last year's Haskell winner, Point Given, also owned by Prince Ahmed.
