EDINBURG, Texas (AP) _ LaShonda Jackson was one of five players in double figures Friday night for No. 22 Southern Mississippi, scoring 20 points in a 90-66 rout of winless Texas-Pan American.

The game was never close despite cold shooting from Southern Mississippi (8-1), which hit 39.5 percent from the field for the game.

Patricia Nash and Nedra Hosey had 15 points apiece for Southern Miss., and Hosey added seven assists. Kim Adams chipped in with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Texas-Pan American (0-9) shot 47 percent but took 35 fewer shots (51-86).

Bobbie Cole led UTPA with 15 points and Kelly Garrett added 12.
