New York Post Names New Editor
NEW YORK (AP) _ The New York Post has made acting editor Xana Antunes its editor.
``Xana Antunes is a dedicated and talented journalist with a breadth of skills and experience needed to lead the New York Post in these challenging times,″ said Ken Chandler, publisher and editor in chief.
Antunes, 35, has been acting editor since September, when Chandler was named publisher. She is now responsible for day-to-day newsroom management.
She joined the Post in 1995 as deputy business editor and worked on expanding coverage, particularly of media, entertainment and Internet industries.
A year after she joined the paper, she became editor of the business section. In October 1998, she was promoted to deputy editor.
