ATLANTA (AP) _ Jose Ortiz scored 18 points Tuesday as Puerto Rico defeated Angola 76-67 in a classification game of the men’s Olympic basketball tournament.

Puerto Rico (2-4) will play Argentina, a 97-79 winner over South Korea, for ninth place on Thursday.

Ortiz, who played at Oregon State, was 7-for-12 from the field and grabbed six rebounds. The 6-foot-10 Ortiz entered the game averaging 27 points and a tournament-best 10.8 rebounds.

Georgie Torres had three 3-pointers and 12 points for Puerto Rico, which led 38-36 at halftime. The University of Massachusetts backcourt of Edgar Padilla and Carmelo Travieso added nine and six points, respectively.

Anibal Moreira led Angola (0-6) with 15 points, while David Dias had 12 points and 11 rebounds.
