Norfolk Catholic girls golf qualifies for State Championship after placing second at district meet; Kassmeier medalist

The Norfolk Catholic girls’ golf team has qualified for the State Championship next week.

At yesterday’s C-3 District Meet at Norfolk Country Club, Battle Creek was the team champion with a 426, the Lady Knights were second at 440, and Hartington Cedar Catholic was third after a 440. Norfolk Catholic’s Anna Kassmeier was the medalist after shooting an 89. She won a playoff after a three-way tie with Hartington Cedar Catholic’s Ireland Biltoft & Pierce’ Sydney Erickson. The Norfolk Catholic team won a playoff with Hartington Cedar Catholic to claim second. Other members of the Norfolk Catholic team that has qualified for the State Championship include Hanna Neesen (112); Kalee Gilsdorf (117); Carly Thramer (122); & Autumn Alder (191). Next week’s Class ‘C’ event will be held at River’s Edge Golf Course in North Platte.
