‘Matilda,’ ‘Mamma Mia’ among 2019-20 Playhouse performances
The 2019-20 North Platte Community Playhouse in its 65th season will offer a variety of productions to whet the appetite of the lovers of art on the stage.
The season’s performances will begin in September with the traditional comedy “Drinking Habits.”
“Into the Woods” will follow in November, and in the new year in February, the musical “Matilda” will tell the story of an astonishing little girl.
The season will close in April with “Mamma Mia!” featuring the popular music of the group ABBA and telling a hilarious story of a young woman’s search for her birth father.
“Looking ahead to this season, I think we’ve got a great selection,” said Rajean Shepherd, administrative assistant for the Playhouse. “‘Drinking Habits’ is going to be a hysterical comedy.”
