CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago authorities are reporting that a 13-year-old was killed and six others wounded while standing on West Side street corner.

A Chicago Fire Department spokesman said Friday the boy was declared dead at the scene of the shooting in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. The spokesman says two people were hospitalized in critical condition, two are in fair condition and one is in good condition. One of the wounded refused medical attention.

The ages of the wounded victims weren't immediately known.

Police say the shots were fired from a passing auto. No suspects were in custody late Friday.
