Jul. 28, 2018
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Body scanner screening devices are being installed at New Hampshire state prisons.
The scanners were authorized by the state Legislature to discourage and detect the introduction of weapons and contraband into its facilities. They are at the women's prison and men's prison in Berlin. Installation at the men's prison in Concord is expected to be done by the end of the summer.
The department is finalizing protocols and policies on scanner use and is training staff.
