SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Monty Owens scored 15 points, including six free throws in the final 1:07, as Pacific held off San Diego 63-57 Thursday night.

It was the third straight win for the Tigers, who were coming off a 22-point win over Brigham Young six days earlier.

Pacific (2-1), which led by 14 points in the second half, saw its lead dwindle to three with 4:10 remaining when San Diego's Brian Miles hit a 3-pointer.

It was one of just three 3-pointers the Toreros (2-2) made.

The Toreros were led by Sean Flannery with 17 points.
