PARIS (AP) — Rafael Nadal has defeated Dominic Thiem 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 to win a record-extending 11th title at the French Open. Nadal becomes the second player in tennis history to win 11 singles titles at any Grand Slam tournament after Margaret Court, who claimed 11 Australian Open titles.
PARIS (AP) — In women's doubles at the French Open, Barbora Krejcikova (bahr-BOHR'-ah krah-CHEE'-koh-vah) and Katerina Siniakova (sih-NEE'-koh-vah) of the Czech Republic won their first Grand Slam title. They beat a Japanese duo 6-3, 6-3.
UNDATED (AP) — Earl Thomas is putting pressure on the Seattle Seahawks for a new contract. Thomas says he will not participate in any team activities until his contract situation is resolved. That includes the mandatory minicamp which begins Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers have gotten some encouraging news on starter Walker Buehler. He was diagnosed with bruised ribs, but scans and X-rays showed no further damage after the rookie right-hander was lifted from a start Friday.
