Jury selected in Stacey Fielder trial

VIERA, Fla. (AP) _ A jury of three men and three women was seated Monday in the obstruction of justice trial of Stacey Fielder, wife of New York Yankees slugger Cecil Fielder.
Stacey Fielder was arrested Feb. 8 after a confrontation with Brevard County sheriff's deputies over whether she could approach an accident scene involving her 10-year-old son and nephew.
She was driving to her Suntree home when she spotted the accident, stopped and demanded to know what happened. Deputies handcuffed, frisked and detained the one-time beauty queen after she ignored them and refused to go to her car.
She has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor obstruction charge. If convicted, she could face a $1,000 fine and up to a year in jail.
She and her husband have filed a suit against the sheriff's office alleging mistreatment.
Last week, Stacey Fielder rejected an offer from prosecutors to drop charges against her in exchange for an apology.
