AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) _ Doug Overton filled in for the injured Allen Iverson with a season-high 19 points and 10 assists and the Philadelphia 76ers had a late comeback to shock the Detroit Pistons 96-92 Sunday.
It was the fifth loss in seven games for the Pistons, who fell a half-game behind Atlanta for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Detroit lost for only the sixth time to a sub-.500 team and just the fourth time in 45 games in which they led going into the final quarter.
Grant Hill had a triple-double with 22 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, but missed two free throws in the final 10 seconds that would have tied the game.
Overton, who started because Iverson missed the game with a sprained left ankle, then made two free throws with 2.4 seconds left to give Philadelphia its final four-point margin.

CLEVELAND (AP) _ Tyrone Hill returned to Cleveland's lineup after a two-game absence and scored 17 points as the Cavaliers snapped their three-game losing streak.

TORONTO (AP) _ Damon Stoudamire tied his career high with 35 points and Toronto ended a five-game losing streak by handing Miami its first loss in nine games.
Alonzo Mourning, who led the Heat with 27 points but was only 7-of-17 from the free throw line, had a chance to give Miami the lead with 1:53 remaining but missed two foul shots. Then Stoudamire hit an underhand layup around Mourning, giving the Raptors a 99-96 lead with 1:26 to play.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Rik Smits scored eight of his season-high 40 points in overtime to lead Indiana over Los Angeles.
Smits, who scored 11 of Indiana's last 15 points, was too much for the Clippers inside, hitting 17 of 28 shots against much shorter defenders Lorenzen Wright and Loy Vaught. Smits finished just four points short of his career high.
Reggie Miller added 28 points and Antonio Davis had 14 points nd 10 rebounds for Indiana, which has won four in a row.

Knicks 101, Magic 86
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ Patrick Ewing scored 33 points and Chris Childs had 19 to lead New York over Orlando.
Ewing's status was questionable after he pulled his left tricep muscle during New York's loss to New Jersey on Friday, but he wore a black rubber sleeve on his upper arm and played 38 minutes without any apparent difficulty. He made 13 of 23 shots, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked four shots.
Allan Houston scored 13 and Buck Williams had 11 for New York.
Penny Hardaway led Orlando with 21 points, but shot only 8-of-25 while being guarded by forward Larry Johnson.
