Mark Harrington Appointed to Run MSNBC Cable Channel

NEW YORK (AP) _ The new cable news channel being developed by NBC and Microsoft has a boss.
Mark Harrington was appointed vice president and general manager Tuesday of MSNBC, the 24-hour channel that makes it debut in July.
An Emmy-winning news producer and longtime executive at CBS, Harrington most recently served as that network's senior vice president of new media.
