Suspected Mass. and NH mall shoplifter in court

PEABODY, Mass. (AP) — A woman police say may be responsible for stealing more than $100,000 worth of merchandise from mall stores in Massachusetts and New Hampshire faces arraignment for some of her alleged thefts.
Prosecutors say Jennifer Santos is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on larceny and trespassing charges connected to thefts from Victoria's Secret and Sephora fragrance stores in the Northshore Mall in Peabody.
According to court documents, the 28-year-old Lawrence woman is suspected of hitting stores at malls in Foxborough, Burlington, Chestnut Hill, Marlborough and Holyoke, Mass.; as well as malls in Concord, Salem, Nashua, Newington and Manchester, N.H.
The Salem News (http://bit.ly/17GBRBX ) reports that prosecutors think she is part of a shoplifting ring who steals to support a drug habit.
It was not clear if she had a lawyer.
