LOS ANGELES, June 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Peter Adderton, founder and former CEO of Boost Mobile USA, today announced he has retained the services of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP (Manatt) to represent his concerns regarding the proposed merger of Sprint and T-Mobile. Today’s announcement follows Adderton’s May 21, 2018 press release in which he laid out those concerns. More recently, Adderton announced the launch of ALL4PRICE.COM, a website created to educate consumers, wireless users, legislators and staffers at the FCC and DOJ about these concerns.

Jack Quinn will lead the Manatt team. Quinn is a partner in both the government and litigation practices and serves as chair of the federal regulatory and government practice group. Quinn earlier served as Counsel to the President of the United States. In that role, he advised and counseled President Bill Clinton and all senior White House staff on a wide range of legal matters related to policy and legislation. At the time of his appointment as White House Counsel, Quinn was Chief of Staff and Counselor to Vice President Al Gore.

Other members of the Manatt team representing Peter Adderton include Gregg Nunziata and Lisl Dunlop. Nunziata advises clients on matters at the intersection of law, business, public policy and strategic communications. He previously served as general counsel and a senior domestic policy advisor to Sen. Marco Rubio, including during the senator’s presidential and re-election campaigns, and prior to that held several senior Republican counsel positions on Capitol Hill. Lisl Dunlop is co-chair of the firm’s antitrust practice group. She advises leading U.S. and multinational companies on a broad range of antitrust counseling, antitrust litigation and transactional matters, and has represented major corporations in complex antitrust litigations.

“There are some significant issues with the proposed Sprint and T-Mobile merger as currently structured, and on behalf of American wireless subscribers, the prepaid mobile sector, the hundreds of MVNOs who rely on these two carriers, and the tens of thousands of independent wireless dealers across this country who will be negatively affected by this deal, our team is geared up and ready to fight for their protection,” stated Adderton.

“Peter Adderton is a seasoned entrepreneur and highly experienced executive in the industry, and we believe his concerns have merit,” said Jack Quinn. “We look forward to working with the legislators, regulators and committees that will be involved in reviewing this matter in the coming months, and making sure that each of these concerns are understood and carefully considered during the review process.”
