Elderly woman struck and killed on Mass. road

ARLINGTON, Mass. (AP) — An elderly woman who was struck by car while crossing Massachusetts Avenue in Arlington has died.
Police said the 77-year-old victim, who used a walker, was hit Thursday night while in a crosswalk on the busy road.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan told The Boston Globe that the driver of the car stopped after the accident and was no impaired, but will face charges of failing to yield for a pedestrian and driving without a license.
