ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a Utah man carved an obscenity into a woman's stomach with broken glass.
Court documents show 22-year-old Brandon Lee Wall was charged with felony aggravated assault Tuesday.
Police in Cedar City say the word was still visible as scarring when the woman reported the assault a few weeks later.
Police say the woman told officers she considered him a good friend before he pushed her to the ground, sat on her and cut her with the glass.
Police also investigated after the woman said he threatened her again.
Authorities say Wall denied involvement. No attorney or publicly listed phone number was immediately available for him.
