UNION CITY — Authorities say a third child has died following a New Jersey house fire that earlier claimed the lives of two youngsters and injured a number of other occupants and firefighters.


LOS ANGELES — Nancy Sinatra Sr., the childhood sweetheart of Frank Sinatra who became the first of his four wives and the mother of his three children, has died. She was 101. Her daughter, Nancy Sinatra Jr., tweeted that her mother died Friday and a posting on her web page said she died at 6:02 p.m. but didn't indicate where she died.



ATLANTIC CITY — Bill Draper sat on a bench near Texas Avenue on the Boardwalk Wednesday afternoon and knew he was being watched. Draper, of Livonia, New York, was fully aware the cameras that dot the Boardwalk were recording his vacation, and he didn't have a problem with it at all. In fact, he was encouraged by it. In this day and age, "you have to do it," he said, adding the cameras "keep people honest." Those cameras are not limited to the Boardwalk. In total, police monitor 971 cameras throughout the city, Atlantic City police Deputy Chief James Sarkos said, only 178 of which are city-owned. By Molly Bilinksi, Press of Atlantic City. REMAINS FOUND — State police say a man has been arrested in connection with the burned and dismembered remains of a woman found in New Jersey last week.
