OTTAWA (AP) _ Celine Dion completed an unusual back-to-back awards sweep Friday, receiving Canada's highest honor a day after receiving the Order of Quebec from her home province's separatist premier.

Dion was presented the Order of Canada by Governor General Romeo LeBlanc.

``Today we honor an artist who has made the world sing with her in both the languages of our country,'' LeBlanc said.

Dion has resisted journalists' attempts to draw some political comment from her about the honors by governments that feud constantly over Quebec's place in Canada.

``This has nothing to do with politics,'' Dion said Thursday after receiving the Order of Quebec from Premier Lucien Bouchard.

``It doesn't matter if it's the government of Quebec, Canada or France honoring me,'' she said. ``I see it as an award coming from the public.''
