WAYNESBORO, Miss. (AP) — A trial for an Alabama man accused of killing three Mississippi residents has been postponed.

WDAM-TV reports William Miller of Millry, Alabama, is now set for trial in December in Mississippi's Wayne County.

Prosecutors say they need to provide additional evidence to the defense.

Miller is accused of shooting to death Sonya Taylor, Lloyd Taylor and Jamie Gardner in December 2015 during a drug-fueled dispute that began when Miller was trying to recover a deer carcass he hit earlier.

Miller told a judge in 2015 that the killings were "a big mistake." Investigators say Miller shot and killed Lloyd Taylor and Gardner, then returned to Taylor's home with their bodies and killed Sonya Taylor. Investigators say Miller later set an SUV on fire with Lloyd Taylor and Garner's bodies inside.
