NEW YORK (AP) — Jockey Ramon Dominguez said he hopes to return soon from a fractured skull sustained in a spill at Aqueduct last month.

"I feel pretty good, and God willing, I can come back to riding racehorses in a short amount of time," Dominguez said in an interview with former rider and New York Racing Association analyst Richard Migliore.

Dominguez spent several weeks in hospitals and rehabilitation centers after the spill Jan. 18.

Dominguez has won the last three Eclipse Awards as the nation's leading jockey.
