WEYMOUTH, Mass. (AP) — Police say a 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged sex assault at a Massachusetts high school.

The Patriot Ledger reports Weymouth police said Wednesday the teen is in custody. It's unclear what charges he is facing and whether he is a student.

Weymouth Public Schools Superintendent Jennifer Curtis-Whipple and Weymouth High School principal Alan Strauss said Tuesday the assault that allegedly took place Monday at the school "involves minor students."

Guidance counselors have been made available at the school.

Police say they're still investigating.
