GOTEBORG, Sweden (AP) _ Olympic and world heptathlon champion Carolina Kluft fell over a hurdle and injured her left thigh during the annual Sweden-Finland meet Sunday.
Kluft, competing in her fifth event during the two-day meet at Ullevi Stadium, is expected to be sidelined for a month. She was wheeled off the field on a cart after the 100-meter hurdles and was on crutches.
``I can't dance at the banquet tonight,'' Kluft said.
On Saturday, she ran the 200 and one leg on the Swedish 4x100-meter relay team. Before the injury, Kluft ran the 100 and competed in the long jump.
Finland beat Sweden 212-197 in the men's meet. On the women's side, Sweden won 230-179.
