BOSTON (AP) _ Bob Cousy, the basketball great who led the Boston Celtics to seven championships between 1950 and 1963, is planning a comeback.

This time, though, Cousy won't be playing on the parquet. He'll be playing to the cameras, as CIA agent Bill Beadurof in the upcoming movie ``Death of a Hummingbird.''

The movie is based on Ben DeWitt's novel of the same name, Cousy said Tuesday.

Cousy, 70, has been a TV commentator during Celtics games, although he's free this season because of the NBA lockout. He appeared with Nick Nolte in 1994's ``Blue Chips,'' along with Shaquille O'Neal and Anfernee ``Penny'' Hardaway.

Cousy, organizer of the first NBA labor movement, said last week he was ashamed of his role in creating the players union and criticized high-profile players and agents for the current labor dispute.
