Jags Waive Pearson, Re-Sign Thomas

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ The Jacksonville Jaguars waived rookie running back Pepe Pearson on Tuesday to make room on the practice squad for tight end Mark Thomas.
Thomas, a rookie free agent from North Carolina State, was released last month.
The Jaguars brought in Pearson, a rookie free agent out of Ohio State, after he was cut by the San Francisco 49ers.
Thomas started 10 games at North Carolina State last season, catching 29 passes for 271 yards. He started the final 32 games of his career for the Wolfpack.
