Dow Gains 29 in Early Trading

NEW YORK (AP) _ Stock prices are higher in active trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 29 points in today's early going. Gainers on the New York Stock Exchange hold a 2-1 lead over advancers.
The Nasdaq Composite Index has gained seven points and the Standard & Poor's 500 Stock Index is ahead three points.
Stocks are getting a boost from today's report on wholesale prices.
The Labor Department reported a decline of 0.2 percent in its producer price index for November.
The report sparked a rally in the bond market, which has translated into some early gains for equities as well.
But analysts say the key to the session will be the way technology stocks respond to the latest weakness in Asia.
High-tech stocks have been most susceptible to the financial weakness in Asia.
Korean share prices plunged seven percent today to a ten-year-low.
