SEATTLE (AP) _ Toronto left fielder Shannon Stewart left Saturday's game against Seattle in the third inning when he was hit in the left eye after losing John Olerud's fly ball in the sun.

Stewart was examined by Toronto trainers on the field for five minutes before leaving the game. Olerud reached second with a two-run double that put Seattle ahead 3-0.

Rob Ducey, acquired earlier in the week, replaced Stewart and two batters later caught the final out of the inning.
